An interesting program last weekend attracted new guests to the association Kulturni front, Opatija's association for the development of youth culture. As part of the project \"Creative disorder\" <\/strong>bringing together presentations, workshops, quizzes and other content, Airsoft Association Kvarner held a presentation of this new amateur sport on Saturday<\/strong> and acquainted visitors with the skill and customs of airsoft in the Rijeka region.<\/p>\n

Representatives of the association explained what is needed to start and invited all interested to contact them through the Facebook page for experimental training. In doing so, they broke one of the established dogmas that airsoft is a violent sport. Although it mimics war activities using replica weapons with plastic balls, its purpose is socializing in nature, recreation and team building. Meetings are conducted according to rules that exclude all forms of verbal and physical violence and encourage teamwork and making new acquaintances. As part of various events, members of the association travel all over Croatia and test their abilities on various terrains and in different \"reinactment\" scenarios.<\/p>\n

Another myth that they refuted was that a thick wallet is needed to engage in this hobby \u2013 on the contrary, they suggest that beginners try various forms of weapons in training and opt for the one that suits them best. It is important to note here that the price is not crucial because most members of the Airsoft Association Kvarner prefer good fun and exercise over the purchase of expensive optics and other accessories. The only thing they don't recommend saving is safety glasses, which cost a hundred kunas anyway.<\/p>\n

All visitors were eventually able to take in their hands and try out how different types of (of course, empty) replicas lie to them: from guns to assault rifles to snipers. All interested parties can contact the Airsoft association Kvarner or get acquainted with it at the festival of fantasy and science fiction \u201cLiburnicon\u201d, which will be held in Opatija on 16-18 August, also organized by the association \u201cCultural Front\u201d.
