Cilj ovog internog događanja, koji već godinama okuplja članove i simpatizere Udruge za razvoj kulture mladih Kulturni front, ostao je isti: jačanje timskog duha, razvijanje komunikacijskih i kreativnih vještina, te naravno – uživanje u prirodi i međusobnom društvu.
This year's edition took place on the wooded slopes of Učka, on the private property of Kikotov Ranch, whose meadow has once again become our base for workshops, team games, amateur archery and spontaneous socializing. About thirty participants arrived on Saturday at noon and were greeted by a combination of mountain air, good music and friendly smiles. The organisational team was on site the day before, to prepare everything – from the archery grounds to the co-location area, and to provide sufficient water, juices and other necessities.
The program was varied. Those eager for challenges tried to shoot with a bow and arrow, some for the first time, and others in an attempt to break their own records. At the workshops, something new could be learned, while social games served as light but very fun competitions. Those who sought a calmer pace found it in the shade under the canopy, with informal chats and joint planning of future FMA projects.
A special gourmet treat was lunch – a popular bakery performed by David & David, with veal, chicken and vegetables. The place was also for independent culinary endeavours with a do-it-yourself barbecue, and everyone enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere of shared dining.
As the sun descended behind Učka, the Moon slowly took over the main role of the evening. Full and shiny, it provided the perfect backdrop for our already traditional, somewhat humorous, but always fun moment – shouting at the moon together. The laughter and song echoed in the mountain, and socializing continued until late into the night, with stories around the fire and a few improvised musical acts.
On Sunday, with a light breakfast and another round of archery, we brought this edition of Archery Day to an end. The weather served us – a sunny day, a fresh evening and a calm morning – as if nature itself had welcomed us. After the end, the organizers stayed at the site in order to thoroughly clean and clean the space, leaving it in the condition in which we found it.
This weekend once again confirmed that friendship, togetherness and open skies are the best combination for an unforgettable experience. We thank everyone who participated and helped in the organization, especially those who selflessly took the time to prepare and clean up.
