Reading enthusiasts, in search of a title that would suit their taste, will certainly be interested in the “Speed date with a living book”, which will be held at the Cultural Front association on Tuesday, 28 May, starting at 19:30h. It is an interactive workshop where visitors will get to know their (potential future) books through a short conversation, which will be embodied by passionate readers and students of literature from the association Cultural Front.
In the rotation inherent in a "speed hook", every reader will have the opportunity to get acquainted with every living book that will answer all the questions that interest him/her before deciding to read: how long it is, what genre it is, what characters it has, where the plot is located... and it is possible that the book also asks him a few questions because as readers are looking for their profile of the book, so are books, of course, looking for their profile of the reader: whether he likes long descriptions, sudden turns, how well he reads among the lines, whether he is ready for sequels and how much time he has to read.
The organizers hope that at the end of this unusual speed date, visitors will find a book for themselves, whereby, if they wish, many of them will be able to borrow on the spot in the library of the Cultural Front (with membership). Prose forms will be represented at this original "speed compound", and as far as book genres are concerned, there will be everything: from classics, through violets, to magical realism and alternative history, and fantasy and science fiction with which we most often associate the Cultural Front.
Members of the association tell all lovers of literature to come over and dare to get to know new books. Maybe there's a book in their dreams.
