At every step, the children will be welcomed. costumed animators – fairies, elves, pirates, fairy-tale characters and other guardians of imagination – with whom they will be able to play, dance and take photos.
One of the main attractions will be Maypole dance, a traditional fairy dance around a colourfully decorated column. Small adventurers will, with the help of costumed animators, embark on a quest for hidden pirate treasures – a challenge full of puzzles, obstacles and fun.
The festival will also be complemented by stage performances – from a fiery villa to children’s dance spots and performances – and the Angiolina Park, especially around the musical pavilion, will become a stage for magic, creativity and joy.
Festival for All - Without Obstacles and Borders
Festival ‘Day of Fairies’ It is free and open to all visitors.. The programme is realized thanks to the engagement of young volunteers, artists, musicians and other cultural and civil initiatives, which further encourages social inclusion, knowledge exchange and intergenerational solidarity.
The Cultural Front Association points out that every child is born with the potential to create and that it only needs to provide space for expression and support from the community. The Fairy Day is therefore not only a festival of entertainment, but also a form of pedagogical and social activity: develops children's creativity, encourages socialization, ecological awareness and love of art.
Let’s go back to childhood:
for at least one day
In times of digital devices and overloaded schedules, Fairy Day invites children, but also adults, to remember how important it is to read fairy tales, make handicrafts, dance with friends and believe in miracles. It is a day where everyone can be a fairy, pirate, explorer or poet – a day when imagination is more important than rules, and a smile is the greatest reward.
We invite all small and large dreamers, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles to join us June 21 at Angiolina Park in Opatija Together with us, they step into a world where different rules apply – rules of fairy tales, friendship and eternal play.
