Education on harmonization of the statutes of associations with the Law on Associations of the Republic of Croatia

Association “Cultural Front”, in cooperation with the Youth Council of the City of Opatija, organizes short training on necessary changes to the statutes of associations and their harmonization in accordance with the guidelines of the Law on Associations. Namely, the new Law on Associations prescribes (so far mostly omitted) items that should be included in the statutes of associations, and final deadline for adjustment set for 30 September 2015. Associations and other organizations that do not harmonize their statutes with the given guidelines will be removed from the register of associations, and will not be able to apply for most tenders organized by state administration bodies or local administration and self-government (tenders of ministries, counties, cities and municipalities).the Law Associations

Although the process of harmonizing the statute with the provisions of the Law on Associations is not difficult, for all those who want professional help and advice, we bring a workshop where we will present the basic novelties that the new formulation of the law brings, and give recommendations on how to amend the statutes to comply with the Law on Associations. Education will lead Branka Antić, dipl.iur, mentor and legal advisor within the STARTUP incubator Rijeka.

We organize a short education in Saturday, 12 September from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (so that 18 days remain to convene an assembly or a meeting of the general board of the association, and that the statutes be brought into line with the law in time) the Dawn Theatre in Opatija. All interested associations and individuals are kindly requested to contact us by e-mail icerovac@ffri.hr to be able to prepare space and a sufficient number of materials.
