The event was attended by 19 students of the school, who through an open conversation had the opportunity to express their views, ask questions and actively participate in the discussion with representatives of the local community and experts from different fields. The event brought together relevant guests from public and cultural life: Ernie Gigante Dešković, Acting Director of the Opatija Festival, Zlata Torbarina, Head of the Administrative Department for Finance and Social Activities of the City of Opatija, Tomislav Lesinger, Head of the Hubbazi Entrepreneurial Incubator and Senior Associate for Entrepreneurship, and Iva Mihovilić, Director of the City Library and Reading Room “Viktor Car Emin” Opatija.
The dialogue was led by Doc. dr. sc. Ivan Cerovac, assistant professor at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka and president of the Cultural Front Association, Katarina Jeletić, graduate student in pedagogy and member of the association, and dr. sc. Ivana Černeh, teacher of philosophy, logic and ethics at the Gymnasium Eugen Kumičić Opatija. In a pleasant and stimulating atmosphere, a discussion has developed about the possibilities of active involvement of young people in shaping the cultural life of the city, the challenges in the field of cultural participation and the importance of education for civic engagement.
