The 19th edition of the festival focused on the theme Slavic Mythology. As in previous years, an interesting and rich program has been prepared that combines serious and entertaining content and creates a unique atmosphere that Liburnicon It is one of the largest youth festivals in the region. Through the fantastical and mythological aspect of the main theme, the beliefs of the ancient Slavs were explored, the gods they believed in, and how this theme is covered and passed through films, series, books, board games.
It is worth pointing out that everything takes place right by the sea – the internal space of the faculty is primarily reserved for lectures, quizzes and workshops, while the external part is intended for the entertainment content of the festival.
Promotion of the book The Paths of Illyria and Lecture, The Mythical-Historical Trail of Trebišće/Perun, The End of the Universe is Closer than previously thought, Supernatural Beings of Slavic Mythology in Croatian Traditional Culture, The Game of Light and Shadows: Where and when to see future eclipses, Fables inspired by Slovenian mythology, Planet Venus: Earth's wicked twin sister, Traces of culture of pre-Christian Slavs in the Istrian landscape are just some of the lectures which have been maintained throughout the duration of the programme.
For those who wanted to compete, there was also a series of interesting quizzes with a focus on literature, old SFs, general questions from Geek culture, films, series and anime, and legends about gods, heroes and mythological beings. Through 10 workshops visitors have had the opportunity to expand their knowledge on a wide range of topics, both theoretically and practically – for example, trying out traditional bow shooting, and there are various tournaments that have attracted a large number of players.
In addition to programs in the interior of the faculty, there was also a rich list of interesting external points, especially games Led by the legendary Star Trek bowling that filled the courtyard of the Faculty. Particularly attractive was Cosplay show which brought rich prizes to the best cosplayers.
From unique external points, except the traditional the Barbarian Competition held each year, in accordance with the theme was held for the first time and Slav Bake Off Which was a real hit!
It was interesting and meaningful. children's program offering the younger population age-appropriate content – presentations of books and picture books, as well as various workshops on Slavic, cosplay and SF topics...

“This year we are very pleased with the attendance on Friday and Saturday. Friday is a weaker day in terms of the number of visitors, but this year it was not the case and we are very satisfied. We estimate attendance to be equal or slightly higher than last year – last year we had a thousand visitors over two days, while this year it may be even higher”, pointed out the main coordinator Valentina Dukić and thanked the audience, participants, volunteers, members of the association and the media for the great support that this year was not missed with the message: See you next year at the jubilee, 20.
