Opatija – Legend says that when the day is the longest and the night the shortest, villas come to the world of people and invite them to join them in celebrating this very important day for them. This legend was witnessed by many Opatija's guests who found themselves in the park and villa Angiloni on Wednesday afternoon and evening, where the fairy magic lured them to sing, dance and have a good time.
For the second year in a row, the International Fairy Day was celebrated, organized by the Cultural Front association, with a series of very interesting and well-attended programs.
The youngest visitors could learn how to make fairy wings, fairy-wreaths and magical paper creatures, as well as Peter Pan's hat and a fairy-tale cottage, watch the play "The Wonderful Hut" by the artistic organization Creative Laboratory of the Contemporary Theatre Kila, try their hand at treasure hunting and face the terrible Captain Hook...
The evening ended with a music program for parents and somewhat older fans of fantasy and fairy tales who could enjoy the concert of the chamber choir of young people Schola Cantorum Rijeka (KUD Fratellanza) under the direction of maestra Ingrid Haller, who performed classical works of early music, as well as works from popular films and TV series on the subject of fantasy.
