Jubilee 10th Liburnicon Science Fiction and Fantasy Festival will take place of 21 of 23 August 2015. in a specially arranged space Elementary school “R. K. Jeretov” in Opatija. Liburnicon thus returns to a more relaxed atmosphere provided by Opatija's primary school, and this year the organizers have prepared an extremely rich program in which special emphasis placed on the balance between serious and entertaining content which is one of the main characteristics of Liburnicon, and at the same time a characteristic that has made it recognizable in Croatia and beyond. The program will include content rich in lectures, presentations, projections, performances, workshops, concerts, exhibitions and numerous social games, all in accordance with the Main Theme this year’s Liburnicon – Back to the Future.

Like every year, this is what we expect. a number of well-known scientists (Korado Korlević, Vladimir Paar, Davor Jadrijević, Ratko Martinović, Davor Horvatić, etc.) and TV Faces (Head Krešimir Mišak), and The honorary guest of Liburnicon 2015 is the famous master of post-production visual effects, Klaudija Čermak, known for his work in numerous films, including ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’ and ‘Harry Potter and the Gifts of Death’, ‘Gladiator’ and ‘Troya’.

At Liburnicon is expected Over a thousand visitors from all over Croatia, but also from abroad, and a rich program will be intended for all age groups: from entertaining and creative children's workshops, various educational content, original Liburnicon games, workshops and quizzes, to excellent lectures and presentations that will satisfy every taste. In addition to all of the above, visitors can expect a rich prize pool of our sponsors and a diverse offer of exhibitors, and a special emphasis should be placed on the music program marked by concerts of groups ‘Zrec’ i ‘Association of Angry Foxes’.
